JAMMU: To streamline the fiscal management and avoid rush of expenditure in the last days of March 2016, the Finance Department today issued fresh instructions to all the government departments in this regard.
As per the circular issued by the Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, Mr Navin K Choudhary, the government departments have been asked to submit before 24 March 2016 proposals for advance drawal, revalidation, authorization etc pertaining to financial year 2015-16. No such proposal, whatsoever, shall be entertained by the Finance Department after 24 March, it reads.
The circular further reads that the Treasury Officers will not entertain any bill/cheque or payment, pertaining to the financial year 2015-16, after the working hours on 30 March 2016. All the Drawing and Disbursing Officers shall plan their bill presentation at the treasuries accordingly, it states adding that the Treasury Officers shall not entertain any government cheque for the financial year 2015-16, under any circumstances or explanation thereof after 5 April 2016, payable to contractors, suppliers and firms etc.
