KULGAM: According to the District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, the Summary Revision of Municipal Electoral Rolls-2016 for Municipal Councils and Committees of the district shall be conducted as per the issued timeline.
Accordingly for Draft Rolls, Friday, March 4, 2016, has been fixed as the date on timeline. For period of filling of claims and objections the period allowed is March 4, 2016 to March 14, 2016. For disposal of claims and objections, period from March 15, 2016 to March 19, 2016 has been fixed.
The DEO has passed strict directions to the Electoral Registration Officers of Municipal Councils and committees of the district to ensure that the persons who are permanent residents of the state and ordinary residents of the area and who are 18 years of age as on 01.01.2016 shall registered as electors in the Municipal Electoral Rolls.
