Srinagar: Martyrs Dr Farooq Ahmad Ashaie and others were the great sons of soil who sacrificed their lives for just cause of freedom and became an immortal page of our history.
Demise of the wife of father of nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt a national loss .Her struggle and sacrifices should always be remembered.
This was stated by the incarcerated and ailing chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement to KNS.
While paying rich tributes to martyr Dr Farooq Ashaie, Yasin Malik said that doctor Ashaie was a great soul who throughout his life stood for the cause of freedom and justice.
He remained steadfast while fighting for the human rights of Kashmiris and as a doctor always cared for his patients. Yasin Malik said that the brutal way in which doctor sahib was martyred by Indian forces still remains a glaring proof of Indian oppression in Jammu Kashmir.
He said that Kashmiri struggle for freedom is adorned with the sacred blood of martyrs life doctor Asahi and hence no earthly power can defeat this struggle.
While paying tributes to JKLF martyr Jalil Ahmad Shah and other Haigam martyrs and also martyrs of Gorsier Jageer namely martyr Abdul Gani Wani @Sher Khan and martyr Muhammad Yasin Najar, Yasin Malik said that nation of Kashmir is indebted of these martyrs who laid down their lives for the betterment of our nation.
JKLF delegations comprising of Syed Nisar Jeelani, Ghulam Qadir Khan, Molvi Reyaz and Abdul Qayoom visited the residence of martyrs and paid tributes to them.
A delegation of JKLF led by vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt today visited Trehgam Kupwara and expressed condolences to the bereaved family of deceased Zikra Maqbool Butt (Wife of father of nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt).
JKLF vice chairman master sheikh Muhammad Afzal, deputy chief organizer Siraj ud Din Mir, zonal vice president Muhammad Sideeq Shah, zonal general secretary sheikh Abdul Rashid, zonal press secretary Ashraf bin Salam, professor Javed and district president Kupwara Rafiq Ahmad Waar were part of the delegation.
JKLF leaders met with the bereaved family including mother of Maqbool sahib and his younger brother Zahoor Ahmad Butt and offered condolences to them.
A condolence and prayers meeting was also held at Jamia Masjid Trehgam which was addressed by advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt and others. Bashir sahib while paying rich tributes to the deceased lady said that she was an iron lady who supported Maqbool Sahib in all weathers and circumstances.
He said that her sacrifices will always be remembered and today we pray for her heavenly abode.
It is worth to mention that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik is still in police custody and remains admitted in Florence hospital.
Though he is recovering from illness but due to infection, weakness and some more medical tests, doctors have advised him to stay in hospital. (KNS)
