Srinagar: The Government is holding a high level meeting on Saturday to take a call over the implementation of Srinagar Mater Plan which till date has surpassed the two deadlines already.
Sources privy to this development told KNS that the divisional commissioner Kashmir Asgar Samoon is holding a high level meeting of the SDA and concerned officials to review the implementation of the Srinagar master plan.
A senior official while pleading anonymity told KNS the deadline for the master plan was set on December 2015 and later it was extended till March 2016. It seems that the project would not get completed till March and therefore it has been resolved that it would be extended till June 2016, official said.
It was informed further that in June this year, the road map for the implementation of the Srinagar Master Plan would be put on public domain for the 40 days period so that suggestions would be sought from the general masses about the same.
Meanwhile, it was informed that violations in the Srinagar Master Plan go unabated, resulting in a total chaos on ground. The meeting scheduled to be held on Saturday would focus on the violations witnessed during the master plan implementation. (KNS)
