Srinagar: Kashmir University Teachers Association (KUTA) Friday convened a meeting of its executive body and deliberated also upon the burning issue of victimization and harassment of Kashmiri students perusing studies outside the state.
In a statement issued here KUTA condemned the harassment and victimization of Kashmiri students and termed such acts unacceptable.
Meanwhile KUTA has also shown its concern over the recent civilian killings and expressed solidarity and sympathies with the bereaved families.
The statement added that they believe in freedom of expression particularly in academic institutions of higher learning, which are the platforms for the evolution and growth of thought process and new ideas having bearing on the issues of social, political and economic significance.
