SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon Wednesday convened a meeting to review the progress of work being carried out at Dastigeer Sahab(RA) Shrine Khanyar Srinagar.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, General Manager JKPCC, Secretary Muslim Wakaf Board and other concerned.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the officers of JKPCC to accelerate the pace of work in order to complete the project in a stipulated time.
Dr Samoon said that Rs 2. crore have been released for the project under Special Area Development Program (SPDA) and Rs 1 crore will be released very soon.
He also stressed upon Wakaf Board authorities to take up the work of fencing around the land of the shrine in order to prevent itfrom encroachments.
