Srinagar – Taking an extensive tour of his constituency, Minister for Forest Environment and Ecology, Mian Altaf Ahmad today took stock of the pace of developmental works being executed in the area under PMGSY scheme.
Minister was informed that out of allotted Rs.13.93 crores under PMGSY, about Rs. 4.62 crores have been utilized on various projects so far.
Altaf visited various areas including Nunar, Kawbagh, Shajinar, Urpash, Gutlibagh, New Basti Banjer, Chatergul, Kangan besides other villages of the Constituency.
He directed concerned authorities to speed up the pace of ongoing developmental works under PMGSY schemes and complete all the works within the stipulated time.
Minister said that a network of road connectivity, better healthcare facilities, infrastructure for educational institutions, improvement in supply of electricity and drinking water have been provided, adding that more needs to be done for the people of the area.
Several deputations of these areas called on the Minister and put forth various issues pertaining to macadamization of roads, electricity, drinking water and health care facilities.
