SRINAGAR: Personalities like father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt are glory for nations.
People like these, change the course of history through their struggle and sacrifices and become immortal.
This was stated by speakers while participating in hundreds of meetings and rallies held all over the globe today in connection with Maqbool Day the martyrdom day of father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt Shaheed.
During these programs participants and speakers deliberated upon the various aspects of life, struggle and sacrifices of Maqbool butt and praised his valor, wisdom, ideology and intellect.
On Maqbool day, a rally was held at his ancestral village Trehgam Kupwara and also a message has been sent by chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik who is languishing in the jail from last many days. In this context a grand program was today held at Giigit Baltistan which was presided over by JKLF supreme chief Aman ullah khan.
JKLF leaders Saifudin and Zia ul Haq were among those who spoke on the occasion. Hundreds of JKLF workers along with other local political party representatives and intellectuals spoke on the occasion.
It is worth to mention that during last two weeks Amanullah Khan being in the area had meetings on Gilgit Baltistan situation with the heads of all political parties including Chief Minister of GB.
Speaking on the occasion Aman sahib said that the struggle and sacrifices of Maqbool Butt are a golden chapter of our history. He said that Maqbool was a true and faithful son of soil whose passion for freedom was and remains unparallel.
In his message from central jail Srinagar where he is being kept after arrest, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that personalities like father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt are glory for nations. People like these changes the course of history through their struggle and sacrifices and become immortal.
He said that Maqbool is alive as he lives in our hearts and minds and this is why today Kashmiris living across the globe remember him with love and affection.
In connection with Maqbool Day a public program was also held at his ancestral village Trehgam in which hundreds of people participate despite heavy rains and snow.
JKLF vice chairman advocate Basher Ahmad Butt, Maqbool sahibs younger brother Zahoor Ahmad Butt, JKLF leaders Mir Siraj ud din, sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sideeq shah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Rafiq war, Syed Nisar Jeelani, and others delivered speeches on the occasion.
A candle light march was also organized in Trehgam last night in which hundreds of people participated with passion and raised slogans in favor of father of nation.
On Maqbool day Programs like Protests, Rallies and Seminars were held throughout Pakistan and azad Kashmir also in which besides remembering Shaheed I Azam demand of his mortal remain was made .Maqbool day program in Karachi was presided over by JKLF senior vice chairman Abdul Hameed Butt and leaders Javed Hanief and Khuwaja Abdullah Adv etc spoke on the occasion.
In Islamabad Pakistan JKLF spokesman M. Rafiq Dar, Mazhar Qazmi and M. Hayat etc deliberated upon the various aspects of Maqbools life. In azad Kashmir town Kotli led by Dr. Toqeer the Maqbool day Program was attended by Raja Haqnawaz, Abdul Rehman and Malik Aslam and many others.
At Mirpur led by Khuwaja Pervez, Aslam Mirza, Touseef Jarral and Aftab Ahmed elaborated upon the life and struggle of the great martyr. smiliar progrnas were held At Tattapani,Led by Saleem Haroon, Abid Gilgiti, Saleem Butt and Abdul Rahim, at Muzaffarabad, led by Khuwaja Saifudin, Manzoor Khan, Zahid Sheikh and Jaffar Kashmiri, at Bagh,Led by Hafiz Anwar Samavi, Jahangir Mirza, Javed Butt and Shoab Ahmed,at Khoyiratta, Led by Jaleel Fareed SLF Chairman, at Thorad, Led by Raja Qayoom and Sardar Aftab,at Rawlakot, Sardar Rasheed Khan and Sardar Qadeer Khan, at Hajeerah, led by Sardar Anwar, Sardar Asif, Malik zulfiqar and Shahid Aslam . Also JKLF womens wing chief Mtr Tahira Tawqeer addressed various meetings at Kotli Azad Kashmir. Programs were also held at Dhirkot, led by Raja Aqsad, Tufail Ajaeb, Ashfaq Baghi and Zeeshan Kashir.at Neelam,led by Basharat Ajmal, Asghar Ayub, Khuwaja Siddiq and Muneer Usmani at Plandhari, led by Qari Naseer, Shakeel Choudhary, Tanveer Adv and Sardar Maqbool Chishti at Bhimber led by Hasnain Jarral, Choudhary Ameen, Salman and Abdul Rehman , at Dadyal led by Iqbal Tabassum and M. Sagheer and at Kahota led by Aslam Kashmiri.
Maqbool Day is also being observed with fervor in United Kingdom where led by JKLF diplomatic bureau chief Prof. Raja Zaffar Khan, hundreds of JKLF activists and Kashmiris held protest demonstrations outside the Indian high commission in London. Among those who participated in the program are Sabir Gul, Tehseen Gilani, Khuwaja Kabir, Azmat Khan, Masoom Ansari and Nazim Bhatti. a Memorandum signed by more than 60 MP’s of British parliament was presented to Indian high commission demanading the return of mortal remains of shaheed I Azam Maqbool Butt and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru. Also a JKLF office at another British city Leeds was inaugurated by British Member Parliament Mr. Richard Bergan. Also on the eve Shaheed Maqbool Butt a volley ball tournament was held in Stoke, UK. Various programs were also held in many cities of Saudi Arabiya .at Damam Saudi Arab Led by Raja Hanif Middle east Zonal President speakers emphasized upon the need of strengthening the ongoing freedom struggle. It is worth to mention that Maqbool Programs in UK will continue till 6th March. In European Union headquarter Belgium a program will be held on 13th February, in France a program will be held on 14th February 2016. Likewise programs are scheduled in Riyadh Saudi Arab, UAE, Qatar and in Umman UAE, Honkong, France, Belgium, Luton UK, Nottingham UK, Stoke UK, Birmingham UK and Lahore Pakistan.
It is worth to mention that authorities in Jammu Kashmir have already arrested JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with leaders zonal president Noor Mohammad Kalual, vice chairman Mushtaq Ajmal, zonal organizer Bashir Kashmiri, zonal press incahrge ashraf bin salam, district president Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), district president Gulzar ahmad Pahalwan, senior members ghulam muahamad Dar ,Mohammad Azeem Zargar, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Basharat Ahmad Bhat, Shakir Ahmed Ahangar, Imtiaz Ahmed Ganai, Mushtaq Ahmed Koreg, Nazir Ahmad Rather, Abdul Ganai, Gulzar Ahmed and Shahid Hussain and others who remain in various jails and police stations. Meanwhile SOG and CRPF last night raided the residence of JKLF vice chief organizer Siraj ud din Mir at Tangmarg and harassed his family. Belongings were shattered by forces and Siraj sahibs family terrified by violent behavior of these forces. JKLF strongly condemns this callous approach of forces against a peaceful political leader.
Meanwhile a JKLF spokesman has expressed his gratitude towards people of Kashmir who observed a complete shutdown on Maqbool Day toady and expressed their eternal love for the great martyr. (KNS)
