Srinagar: Police on Thursday arrested five gamblers and seized stake money of over Rs five lakh from the gambling site.
Following a tip off, police rushed a party comprising of officials from the Police Station Sherghari including SHO Mohammad Ishaq raided a house in Allochi Bagh area of the city and arrested five people while red handed. Stake money of Rs 540330 has also been seized.
All the gamblers were taken into custody and a case has been registered against them.
The raid was headed by SDPO Shaheed Gunj Syed Yasir Qadri
