SRINAGAR: Representatives of few separatist organizations including Muslim League, Democratic Freedom Party, Freedom League and Mass Movement staged a protest here in Press Enclave Srinagar demanding mortal remains of late Muhammad Maqbood Bhat and late Muhammad Afzal Guru.
Bhat was hanged on February 11, 1984 while Guru was hanged on February 9, 2013 in Tihar Jail, New Delhi. Their bodies are buried inside Tihar Jail in New Delhi.
Amid pro-freedom slogans, activists lashed at New Delhi for not returning the mortal remains of Bhat and Guru.
Police detained them after they tried to march towards city centre Lal Chowk. They were lodged in Police Station Kothi Bagh. (CNS)
