ANANTNAG: Protests rocked Dooru Shahabad in South Kashmirs Islamabad district over the mysterious death of a local Imam who was found dead in his field.
The Imam, identified as Abdul Hamid Dar, is resident of Bragam Dooru. People gathered in the main market Dooru and started shouting anti-administration slogans. We want swift inquiry in this case so that culprits are nabbed. Otherwise, we will go on indefinite agitation, locals said.
However, police have registered an FIR (15/2016) under section 202. Initial investigation is going on.
