JKLF has also announced to take out a protest march demanding the mortal remains of both martyrs on 10th February 2016.
Before being arrested while talking to the media person, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that police has started its crackdown against JKLF on the eve of 11th February (Maqbool Day) and 9th Feb (martyrdom day Muhammad Afzal Guru).
This is yet another glaring example of suppression unleashed by India and its stooges in Kashmir.
He said that it has been a long time practice of India and its stooges to suppress the voices of Kashmiris through military might. He said that father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool butt and martyr Muhammad Afzal guru were hanged by Indian rulers illegally and buried inside the same jail.
Such has been the oppression of India that both these martyrs were hanged after violating every law and after hanging there dead bodies were also buried inside Tihar jail thus denying them a chance of proper burial.
He said that all this cannot be termed as human and part of civilized world and to protest against this oppression is a legal and moral right of Kashmiris.
Mohammad Yasin Malik said that Kashmiris will keep demanding the mortal remains of these great martyrs and will never stop their protest against illegal hangings of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.
Yasin Malik said that Jail is our second home and these arrests, restrictions and other oppressive measures cannot deter us from seeking and demanding the mortal remains of our martyrs.
Mohammad Yasin Malik said that from last 6th months especially police and forces have unleashed a reign of terror against Kashmiri youth. These people are being humiliated in police stations and thus pushed to the wall and way of violence.
Yasin Malik said this state sponsored terrorism will yield India nothing but shame.
While asking international community to break its criminal silence on Kashmir, Mohammad Yasin Malik said that because of this attitude of international community we on daily basis seeing blood on the streets of Paris, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Kashmir and at many other places.
He said that international community will have to rise above its trade and economic considerations, break its criminal silence and strive to resolve issues and conflicts confronting humanity. It is worth to mention that incarcerated JKLF chairman and others have been shifted to central jail Srinagar after a court remanded for 7 days and ordered their shifting to central jail Srinagar.
Meanwhile after the arrest of JKLF chairman, a meeting of JKLF was held at Maqbool Manzil.
While condemning arresting Yasin sahib and others, JKLF leaders decided to continue the program given on Maqbool Day. It was decided that on 10th February 2016, a procession demanding the mortal remains of father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru will be held at Lal Chowk Srinagar as per program.
JKLF also appealed Kashmiris to observe a complete shutdown on 9th (martyrdom day of Muhammad Afzal Guru) and 11th February (Maqbool Day). (KNS)
