BANGALORE: Whip Smart- a diversified services firm in conjunction with the Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACC) – a consortium of 43 countries with a global and regional foot print is organizing an international business summit IDEAS PAHALGAM-2016 & Snow Fest from 19th to 23 February, 2016.
Pahalgam- a breathtakingly scenic and world class destination- generally abandoned in winters- has been chosen as venue for the event.
The objective of the proposed event is to provide a start of the year getaway platform and venue for synthesizing business and leisure activities. The broader aim is to identify & generate potential business and investment opportunities with stake holders in Jammu & Kashmir.
The highlight of the event will be the launch of START-UP KASHMIR, an initiative supported by some of the top venture capitalists and Angel Investors of the country.
Despite being a brand in itself and defined by a brand pull association, the Vale of Kashmir has suffered contemporarily from a perception deficit. Perceptions ranging from the political to the economic- association with conflict, poor investment climate and conditions- hog the headlines. We intend to alter the perceptual deficit about Kashmir and give its existing brand pull identity impetus by inviting, diplomatic corps of countries, corporate leaders, diversified firms, startups and an assorted audience-local and international to the event. We will showcase the potential of Kashmir and its people- a vibrant and thriving middle class, WhipSmart said in a statement.
We would, among other things, like to show case everything salubrious that Kashmir has to offer- its beauty, its crafts, its economic potential and nature of society. And given that this is an event that has implications and consequences for the state of Jammu and Kashmir and the economic well being of people of Kashmir, we solicit support and partnership of business community in making this event a grand success the statement read.
Besides AACC, Sarajevo Business Forum, Turkish-India Chamber of Commerce, Latin American Caribbean Federation of India – LACFI, Indo-Brazil Chamber of Commerce have consented to be part of the event, it said.
While the former will serve as brand ambassadors for J&K, the latter will be a potential investing class in the states economy. All state based business & trade chambers, prominent exporters, manufacturers, besides host of other stake holders will be part of the summit & participate in working sessions, the statement read.
