SRINAGAR: Police Station Nobra solved a burglary attempt case within 24 hours by detaining a juvenile.
Police Station Nobra received an information that an attempt of burglary was made near J&K Bank Branch Bogdang Nobra, Leh. On receipt of this information, Leh Police visited the scene of crime and collected evidences including some blood stains. Some suspects were detained and questioned.
During the investigation it came to fore that a juvenile (name withheld) has committed the crime with the help of a steel rod, entered into the bank from rear side. However, as the cash was in a strong safe he could not succeed in taking the cash out. During the breaking of door his left hand got injured and blood started oozing out of his injured hand. He wrapped the injured hand with a scarf which he was wearing at the time occurrence and later on threw the weapon of offense (steel rod) and the blood stained scarf on the rear side of the bank building. A case FIR number 03/2016 under section 457, 380, 511 RPC was registered at Police Station Nobra and investigation is going on.
