ANANTNAG: Democratic Political Movement (DPM), a constituent of Geelani led Hurriyat Conference Tuesday visited the residence of Mushtaq Ahmed Haroo, a Hizb militant who was killed in gunfight with Government Forces in Kokarnag area.
In a statement to CNS, the party spokesperson Yar Muhammad Khan said that the delegation was led by party General Secretary Khawaja Firdous. The delegation paid rich tributes to the departed soul and offered condolences to his parents and family. DPM thanked people for observing January 26 as black day.
Meanwhile, a delegation of socio-religious organization Jamat-e-Islami led by Amir Tehsil Gulzar Ahmed also visited the residence of slain militant and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Gulzar Ahmed according to JeI statement also led the funeral prayers of the slain militant. While addressing the mourners, Amir Tehsil Jamat-e-Islami said that Islam is the only way to achieve real success here and in the hereafter. (CNS)
