SRINAGAR: Police arrested a man with a kilogram of charas in Sangam area of Anantnag District.
Acting on a tip off, a police party headed by DO Police Post Sangam Mohammad Ashraf apprehended a man identified as Shabir Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh resident of Braw Bandina, Pulwama. On his checking police recovered one Kilogram of Charas packed in Maize Husks. Shabir was taken into custody and a case FIR number 12/2016 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against him. Further investigation in this regard is going on.
