SRINAGAR: Anganwari Helpers to Supervisor Thursday staged a protest demanding the release of pending honorarium.
The workers alleged that government has not cleared their pending wages and they are facing exploitation. The protest was led by Anganwari Workers and Helpers Association president Mymoona Nazki.
Protesting workers warned that they will intensify their agitation across the state if their demands are not met soon.
Most of the workers have not received their honorarium for 15 months and a number of families are facing difficulties to eke out living as Anganwadi women workers remain the sole breadwinner in their family.
A protesting worker told CNS that they are being forced to work without any entitlement. (CNS)
