SRINAGAR: While greeting the students of the 10th standard for achieving excellent success in the exams especially Ghalib Afzal Guroo son of Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani announced that the Hurriyat Conference will reward top 20 positions to encourage the students.
He praised the teachers of all the schools who showed best performance in the 10th class results including a school in Dooru Sopore namely Unique Public School.
In a statement to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani said that the performance of our children in studies despite living in a worst kind of conflict zone of the world, is very encouraging and praiseworthy.
Syed Ali Geelani said that Kashmiri nation has produced many legendary personalities and scholars in the past and this soil is still fertile in that respect. But the foreign occupation, political uncertainty and instability in this region have badly affected the children of Kashmir and the Indian military occupation has created many psychological disorders in the state.
He said that I personally feel extraordinary joy that despite all these adverse situations, our children who have been orphaned by the Indian occupational forces are excelling in the field of education.
While expressing surprise over the greetings to Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroos son by those people who have a direct hand in his fathers hanging, Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the out-of-power NC has now suddenly begin to issue pro-Kashmir statements and have started to show their concern for the interests and dignity of the Kashmiris.
He however said that this greedy pro-Indian party stands completely exposed before the Kashmiri people and they cannot deceive them anymore. They have a long history of betrayals and deceptions and they have always been power hungry people. (KNS)
