Srinagar: Member Parliament and senior Peoples Democratic Party leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh Friday said that there is no constitutional crisis but only constitutional technicality. He said that human sentiments have more weightage than politics and no one can force Mehbooba ji to take oath at this time.
It is the question of humanity. She and her family members are in deep shock and it is dead impossible for her to take oath at this point of time. How can we approach her and ask her to take oath. This will be selfishness after all she has lost her beloved father, Beigh told Kashmir Observer.
Mehbooba has two little daughters who are in shock. Her mother is deeply saddened over the death of Mufti Sahab.
Responding to a question Beigh said that Constitutional crisis arise at a time when there is no solution. There is no crisis in Jammu and Kashmir but only constitutional technicality, he said. After the demise of any Chief Minister his successor is supposed to take oath within a day. But when this is not possible, Governor simply sends a report to the President of India who in turn submits it to the Cabinet.
Governor Rule for time being can be imposed in such a situation and we must understand that Governor Rule doesnt imply any crisis but it is an arrangement for a certain period of time, he said.
He said that Governor will take care of the state and once Mehbooba Ji will take oath, government will come into existence again.
Beigh clarified that BJP has no objection and fully support Mehbooba as Chief Minister. My old friends from BJP have informed me that the party fully support Mehbooba as Chief Minister and they have no objection at all, he said.
