Srinagar – Asserting that the no resolution is possible to Kashmir issue without participation of people of Kashmir and the resistance leadership, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Jaleel Abbas Jeelani has said that resolution of the dispute is must for the peace in the entire South Asia.
Sources said, that during his meeting with Hurriyat (M) leader, Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat in Lahore Jeelani emphasized necessity for the participation of the people of Kashmir and its resistance leadership in resolution of the Kashmir issue.
During the meeting, Jeelani assured the Bhat of all possible support to the people of Kashmir.
Sources said that senior Hurriyat (M) leader and Chairman of Muslim Conference Abdul Gani Bhat had earlier met former Pakistan Prime Minister Main Nawaz Sharief at his residence in Lahore.
He told Jeelani that the solution of K-issue is necessary for peace in the entire south Asia. He told Nawaz in clear terms that the relationship between India and Pakistan cannot remain normal for long, if the K issue was ignored.
Bhat, during his meeting with Jeelani emphasized that K-issue should be given priority over all other issues and dialogue should be initiated for the permanent solution of Kashmir. During this meeting Bhat emphasized that Pakistan should use its influence and initiate tangible steps for the resolution of Kashmir, the sources said.
He told him that the India and Pakistan should immediately come on the table for K-issue and should resolve it for the permanent peace in south Asia, they added.
Jeelani assured Bhat about the moral, political and social support of Pakistan to the people of Kashmir and for their cause. He told Bhat that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and it (Pakistan) will put every effort to keep Kashmiris with them.
Sources said that during this meeting other dignitaries of Pakistan administration were present on the occasion.
Bhat is likely to hold an important meeting with the Pakistan Foreign Minister Hinna Khar Rabani, the sources added. kns
