Reviews Functioning Of Associated Hospitals
Srinagar – Minister for Medical Education RS Chib today called upon health authorities to ensure hassle free medicare facilities to the patients during winter season, asking them to maintain professionalism while dealing with the patients.
He also instructed for completion of all ongoing health projects well in time for early benefits of the people of the State.
Chairing a high level officers meeting of Medical Education Department, the minister exhorted upon medicos and para medicos to be polite with the patients and ensure all possible healthcare facilities to them during their treatment in hospitals.
The Minister underscored the need for making heating systems operational and other necessary arrangements in all associated hospitals of Government Medical college Srinagar before ensuing winter season . He stressed upon Medical Superintendents for ensuring punctuality of the staff for well beings of patients in hospitals. He said any laxity in this regard would not be tolerated and action under rules would be taken against negligent ones. He also instructed for ensuring proper security in the hospitals for smooth functioning and directed concerned authorities that stringent action should be taken against security personnel who are not punctual to their duties.
The Minister directed executing agencies engaged in execution of several health projects in Srinagar hospitals to complete projects well in time. He instructed that due care should be given for construction of STP sanitation plants, sewerage and drainage systems of the hospitals, asserting that no laxity should be shown in completion of projects.
Commissioner Secretary, Health, Manoj Kumar Divedi, Principal Government Medical College Srinagar Dr. Rafiq Ahmed Pampori, Managing Director JKPCC, Chief Engineer, Mechanical Medical Superintendents of associated hospitals, senior Engineers of R&B, Power, Mechanical, UEED and other senior officers of concerned departments attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed threadbare several issues related to development of associated hospitals, which includes construction of STP Plant and 200 bedded LD Hospital, operation of heating system during winter season. Licenses for purchase of high speed diesel for central heating systems, installation of fire fighting equipments, renovation of mechanical works, utilization of revolving funds, purchase of DG sets for SHMS, punctuality of security staff, smooth running of fair price shops in hospitals, besides other important issues for promotion of health care facilities in these hospitals were also discussed during the meeting.
