Shamima Lays Foundation Stone
Srinagar – Chairperson State Womens Commission and MLA, Habakadal, Shamima Firdous today laid foundation stone of a 1×27 meters span double lane steel girder bridge over Tschuntkul , Barbashah.
The bridge is being constructed at an estimated cost of 3.31 crore by the JKPCC limited out of which Rs 66 lakhs have been released so for by the government.
The bridge will have a carriage way of 7.5 meters of class-A loading with footpath of 1.5 meters on either side, para speaking on the occasion s. Shamima Firdous said that coalition government led by Chief Minister . Omar Abdullah has launched massive developmental programme for providing basic services to the people of the State.
She said that providing better health services, education, drinking water facilities and road connectivity is the priority of the government.
Shamima said that coalition government has also paid special attention towards Srinagar city and various developmental schemes are going in the city.
She said that the communication facility to the large portion of the area will connect Sher-e-Khas with Lal Chowk.
She asked the people to extend their support to the government so that development scenario is speeded up for the overall progress and prosperity of the State.
Shamima was informed that the bridge will be completed within period of one year and the process of shifting of structures coming in the alignment of the bridge has commenced. The officers of concerned departments accompanied the MLA.
