Srinagar: Authorities Tuesday gave three days time to the owners of private coaching centres who operate their centres in Handwara town of Kupwara district directing them either provide all the basic facilities to the students or close down their centres.
Reports said that a team led by Naib Tehsildar Handwara and police officials inspected dozens of coaching centres. The team found many coaching centres operating without registration while majority of the centres were seen lacking basic facilities like heating, seating, toilet, waiting halls. We made the coaching center owners aware about facilities to be provided and instructions to be followed strictly. We warned them and gave 3 days time to the owners of these centres to provide all the basic facilities to the students. We also asked unregistered coaching centres to get their centres registered. In case these centres did not register themselves with the Education Department and they dont provide all the facilities to the students, we will close them down, Naib Tehsildar Handwara said.
