Srinagar- Real Kashmir FC will lock horns with Delhi FC on Saturday in a 2024-25 I-League matchup at Mahilpur Football Stadium in Mahilpur, Punjab. The game will kick off at 2:00 PM and will air on Sony Sports 2 and SSEN app and website.
The Snow Leopards were in contention for a first I-League title last week, but after suffering a 3-2 loss against a 10-man relegation-threatened SC Bengaluru, they are fighting to finish in the top three. The Srinagar club has 32 points from 19 games, while league leaders Churchill Brothers FC have 37 from their 19 outings. Inter Kashi (35 points, 19 games) are second on the table, while Gokulam Kerala (31 points, 19 games) are hot on the heels of RKFC.
Meanwhile, Delhi FC is bottom of the pile, taking mere 13 points from their 19 games. Delhi has won just once in its last five matchups, losing four times in the process.
On the other hand, Real Kashmir has two losses and three wins in their previous five games. However, considering their dismal form away from home, anything is possible in today’s contest in Punjab.
The Ishfaq Ahmad-coached team can still aim for the 2024-25 I-League crown, but it hinges on Churchill Brothers slipping up in their chase. With three games remaining, and with the final one at home against Churchill Brothers, Real Kashmir must win all their games and hope for their opponents to falter.
