SRINAGAR: Three brothers were killed in a blast near Birma Bridge in Udhampur district of Jammu region on Wednesday. A police official said that a mysterious blast occurred in a nallah near Birma Bridge of the district resulting in serious injuries to three siblings. All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital were all of them succumbed to their injuries, the official said. He identified the deceased brothers as Vikar (15), Deepu (10) and Meheshu (7), sons of Bola Ram of Ramban.
Initial investigations revealed that the boys had found the device and the blast occurred while they were fiddling it, the official said.
After conducting all legal formalities, the bodies were later handed over to their family members for last rites. Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started further investigations in this regard, they said. (GNS)
