BARAMULLA: Stressing upon the Cable Operators to speed up the process of digitisation of cable TV network in the municipality areas of the district, District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal issued strict directions to the Cable Operators during a meeting held at Baramulla today. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrates besides Cable Operators of Baramulla district.
Noting that the last date for digitisation of cable TV network in Municipality areas has been fixed on 31st December 2015, the District Development Commissioner directed the Cable TV operators to submit compliance report well in time.
Meanwhile, the meeting took a comprehensive note of the status of digitisation process of cable TV network in district Baramulla. It was given out that the digitisation under Phase-III is being done at war-foot basis in municipal areas of Baramulla Town, while as the process has kick-started in Sopore, Pattan and other towns. Meanwhile, the Cable operators informed the District Development Commissioner about the time lag due to technical set-up for the process.
Instructions were also issued regarding the Phase-IV digitisation process in rural areas, which covers most of the district. The District Development Commissioner mentioned the fact that the Phase-IV digitisation process should also be taken up immediately.
