GANDERBAL: District Volleyball Championship organized by the District Volleyball Association Ganderbal concluded here today, where Safapora volleyball club defeated Nesbal to clinch the trophy.
District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat was the Chief Guest in the presentation ceremony. Speaking on the occasion DDC said that youth of Kashmir have immense talent which needs to be nourished and channelized in a positive direction. He asked youth to participate in sports besides academic activities. DDC assured that the administration shall provide all possible help to develop sports infrastructure so that more youth could avail benefit.
Dr. Hartej Singh, DYSSO and Principal COPE Ganderbal, District Secretary VB Association Ganderbal, Sheikh M. Shafi, Organising Secretary Shah Aijaz, and Joint Secretary Mohd. Maqbool Wani, Prof. Mushtaq Khan, Sr faculty GCOPE, sportsmen and senior citizens from the area were also present on the occasion.
