JAMMU: Prof. Talat Ahmad,Vice-Chancellor Jamia Millia Islamia, Tuesday called on Governor N.N. Vohra here at the Raj Bhavan.
Prof. Ahmad discussed with the Governor various important research projects in Earth Sciences which are presently ongoing, particularly in the field of climatic changes and its impact on glaciers. The Governor urged Prof. Ahmad, who is a leading Earth scientist, to more closely involve the Jammu and Kashmir Universities in the ongoing researches.
The Governor and Prof. Ahmad also discussed certain areas which need large attention for strengthening research work in institutions of higher learning.
