SRINAGAR: A Pakistani prisoner was allegedly tortured to death by jail authorities in Jammu and Kashmir before BSF sent his body to Pakistan for burial, reports said.
A native Kot Kalaal village of Pakistans Pasrur tehsil, Muhammad Ashraf (55), was reported dead Sunday. He had been languishing in a jail in Jammu and Kashmir for the last several years after being arrested for illegally crossing into Indian-administrated Kashmir.
Ashraf was tortured to death by jail authorities before BSF yesterday handed over his body to the Punjab Rangers at Wahga for burial at his native place, reports said.
