Srinagar – Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly . Mohammad Akbar Lone today visited various areas of Baramulla district including Sultanpora village in Pattan in order to take stock of the problems being faced by the people of Sonawari and Patten Constituencies.
Addressing a large public gathering at Sultanpora village in Pattan constituency, the Speaker said that under the young and dynamic leadership of Chief Minister . Omar Abdullah revolutionary steps have been taken for overall development of the State by the government. Lone said that several developmental works have been taken in hand in Sonawari and Pattan constituencies with a aim to uplift the weaker and downtrodden sections of the society besides, ensuring the overall development of the areas.
Responding to the demands, put forth by the locals, the Speaker directed the Block Development Officer Pattan to prepare an estimate for construction of fencing at Sultanpora village besides renovate the inner links of the areas before the holy month of Muharram for the convenience of the devotees.
Lone also directed the PHE authorities to prepare detailed project report for water supply scheme Margipora, so that additional funds would be arranged for the purpose.
He said that regarding power tariff and LPG gas, the State government has taken the matter with the government of India and head away is expected various soon and people should not pay heed to the propaganda certain political parties .
