SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, today reviewed functioning of mobile facilities and supply of essential stock to Karnah region.
Divisional Commissioner asked officials to complete stocking of essential items in the region within next two weeks. The meeting was informed that majority of stock has already been supplied to the area and remaining would be completed within stipulated time.
Regarding mobile service, Divisional Commissioner asked mobile service operators to increase their coverage in the region by installing more towers. During the meeting Army officials informed that permission for setting up mobile towers would be expedited from concerned army authorities. Samoon termed mobile connectivity as vital for the region both in times of peace and adverse situations. He said that mobile connectivity forms backbone of disaster management.
The meeting was attended by MLA Karnah, Army officials, representatives of various mobile services and other officials.
