Demanded investigation into the murder of 8th class student
Srinagar: A day after mysterious death of a 14 year old boy in Bemina locality here, scores of people Thursday blocked the road demanding thorough investigation into the incident. The family members did not rule out the possibility of murder of their son Haris Ashraf Matta.
Haris was found hanged with a cable in his house located at Mansoor Colony Bemina on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses told CNS that locals and family members blocked the road for vehicular movement demanding investigation into the incident. The father of the deceased youth claimed that it was not a suicide case but his son has been murdered. My son was obedient and was deeply interested in religion. He knew was conscious that suicide is prohibited in Islam. I have firm reason to believe that he was murdered, he said.
Police officials who rushed to spot assured the protesting people that an investigation will be taken up to probe the incident.
