Srinagar- J&K senior men’s cricket team defeated Uttar Pradesh by 6 wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy on Wednesday at MCA Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
J&K won the toss and decided to bowl first. UP batters faltered but still managed to post a competitive 157/6 in 20 overs.
In reply, J&K was led by wicketkeeper Shubham Khajuria’s unbeaten 85 (59) and Qamran Iqbal 37 (20) as they made 160/4 in 19.1 overs. Shubham was named player of the match for his exceptional knock.
J&K, with four wins and two losses in six games, will play Haryana in their final group stage match on Thursday, December 5, at 4:30 PM.
