Pahalgam: Providing a platform to its students to express their creativity and skills in the fields of art and sports as also to encourage cross pollination of ideas amongst the children of various Army schools in the valley, a multi disciplinary meet was organised by the Army Goodwill Public School, Pahalgam.
The meet elicited an overwhelming response from the energetic and talented children who participated in varied competitions including Painting & Drawing, Essay writing and Volley ball.
Students from AGS Wuzur, AGS Behibagh, AGS Khanabal, AGS Hajan, AGS Ahagam, AGS Balapur and AGPS Pahalgam competed with zeal and vigour characterising a healthy competitive spirit which is always the aim of such initiatives by the Army.
While AGS Behibagh and AGPS Pahalgam won the first and second prizes respectively in the painting competition, the honours in essay competition were bagged by AGPS Pahalgam and AGS Wazur. A keenly contested final in volley ball competition between AGS Wazur and Behebagh saw the former emerging as the winner.
The children and faculty of all participant schools were unanimous in welcoming such events which afforded the children a chance to not only recognise and hone their own potential but also to socially engage with other schools- all towards a brighter, harmonious future.
