Srinagar: While commenting over the questions raised on the citizenship of the youth who was martyred in Khandipura village of Kulgam district, Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that all the Mujahideens active in the state are of Kashmiri origin and no foreign Mujahid is active here but the youths who come from across the cease-fire line are from those Kashmiri families who migrated from here to Azad Kashmir and Pakistan in 1947 and after that migrations.
While paying rich and glorious tributes to all the martyrs, Syed Ali Geelani said that the funeral prayers of martyrs are clear referendum that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are against the forced occupation of India and they will accept nothing less than complete freedom. While paying rich tributes to the Abu-Qasim named Mujahid, Syed Ali Geelani said that the rigid and stubborn approach of India is persuading our children to adopt this challenging and courageous path and they pickup guns instead of books and pen. He said that India by adopting unrealistic approach want to solve the Kashmir issue through the power of gun. Syed Ali Geelani said that if military power would have been capable of solving the disputes and problems then the Kashmir issue should have been solved in 68 years but nothing like that happened and Kashmiri people are still on the same position on which they began their fight against the Indian invasion.
