Kishtwar – Member Legislative Assembly and National Conference Spokesperson Mr.Sajad Ahmed Kichloo has asked the officials of the district administration, especially Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, to ensure stocking of adequate quantity of ration, kerosene and other essentials in the upper reaches of the district, which remain cut off during winter season.
Interacting with a delegation of NC workers from Warwan area, Mr Kichloo said that the state government has taken various measures to ensure road connectivity to the rural and far off areas of the state. However, there are still number of areas which remain cut off during winter season and it was endure of the government to ensure that people get adequate quantity of ration and other essentials during the winter season, he added.
He said that during his recent visit to Marwah area, he was apprised about the slow pace of the work on Inshan-Marwah road. The matter, he said, has been taken up with the concerned authorities and every possible effort will be made to ensure early completion of the road link.
National Conference is committed to the betterment and overall development of all the three regions of the state and the constructive, economic, visionary and historic measures taken during the last three years have already started producing result at the grass root level, he said.
He said that better road connectivity was one of the priorities of the NC headed government as it has direct bearing on socio-economic well-being of the people and holistic development of the State.
The party spokesman said that various central government agencies in this sector like National High Authority of India (NHAI), BRO, BEACON, etc have been persuaded to fast track the mega projects being executed by these agencies in the State.
