Srinagar: Advising Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani to stop criticizing Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, firebrand National Conference leader Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal Monday said that it was Geelani, Jammat-e-Islami and militants who helped Mufti to become the Chief Minister of the State and now the same people are targeting him (Mufti) because he is appeasing his RSS bosses.
Geelani has no right to criticize and censure Mufti Muhammad Sayeed. We all know that during election campaign, Geelani persuaded militants and Jamat-e-Islami to vote and support PDP. Geelanis political history is not without dark spots as from time to time he helped those who appeased him. Geelani is responsible for the growth of PDP in Kashmir and now the same Geelani has been targeting Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed after he did not give them a free hand, Kamal told Srinagar based news agency CNS adding that it is true that people of Kashmir will never forgive Mufti for handing over the control of J&K to communal and fascist forces.
Kamal said that Mufti has chair but no power. Mufti has always been a dubious character. He never loved for Kashmir but always backed Indian policies even if they were wrong and anti-Kashmir policies. There is no doubt in this fact that Mufti is in total control of RSS and it is the reason RSS has been continuously marching in the streets of Jammu brandishing swords and weapons, he said.
Subscribing to the idea of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the beauty of India lies in its diversity, National Conference senior leader Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal said that if Modi is really sincere and means what he says, then he should reign in the communal outfits like RSS, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena which have become a threat to the integrity of India. The organizations like RSS should be wound up as they spread communal hatred. There is no need of such organizations that scare minorities for their petty interests, he said.
