Srinagar: Restrictions shall be imposed in parts of city tomorrow as police have decided not to allow Shia Muslims from taking out Muharram procession.
Sources told Srinagar-based news agency GNS that a high level meeting of top police officers was held here and it was decided not to allow eight Muharram procession.
Sources said that the police decided to impose curbs in various police stations of the Civil Lines and Uptown to thwart the march. The curbs, according to sources, would be imposed in the areas falling under Ram Munshi Bagh, Maisuma and also Shaheed Gunj police stations. The curbs would be also imposed in Lal Chowk, Karan Nagar and Batamaloo areas.
