SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet today approved extension of the state Industrial Policy 2004 to March 2016 and also accorded sanction to the regularisation of Joint Directors of Animal Husbandry Department.
An official spokesperson here said that the Cabinet, which met here under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, approved extension of J&K Industrial Policy-2004 till March 31, 2016 or till the New J&K Industrial Policy-2015 is notified.
In another decision, the Cabinet accorded sanction to the regularisation of Joint Directors of Animal Husbandry Department viz Dr Jaswant Singh with effect from March 1, 2000 and Dr M K Misri with effect from June 1, 2004 as Directors of Animal Husbandry Department.
The Cabinet also approved creation of supernumerary posts of Assistant Labour Commissioner for the period from September 29, 1997 to April 30, 2000 to be utilised for promotion and regularisation of Abdul Qayoom Mir, who superannuated as I/C Assistant Labour Commissioner as Assistant Labour Commissioner with effect from September 29, 1997 on notional basis and from March 20, 1998 on regular basis till his retirement ie April 30, 2000 and regularisation of M L Sharma who superannuated as I/C Assistant Labour Commissioner as Assistant Labour Commissioner with effect from June 15, 2004 to 31-12-2006 only.
The Cabinet also decided to extend pensionary benefits to the 30 leftover employees of the erstwhile Government Lumbering Undertaking (GLU) by extending the cutoff date upto June 30, 1984 instead of March 31, 1983.
