SRINAGAR: Non-availability of electric transformer in Darshpora hamlet of North Kashmirs Handwara town sparked a protest while protesters blocked Baramulla-Handwara road for hours demanding action against the concerned Executive Engineer who according to protesters has been neglecting them and is insensitive towards their problems.
The protesters alleged that from past two months they have been approaching Executive Engineers office but every time they return with the hope that transformer will be installed in the area sooner or later. Today the said Executive Engineer crossed his limits and used his goons to drag us from his office. We demand action against him, the protesters said.
