SRINAGAR: Government Thursday made it clear that it will not allow Ahamaddiyas to hold any peace conference in Srinagar city on October 10 (Saturday).
District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah told CNS that an Ahmadiya organization Ahmadiyya Jamaat Srinagar has written a formal letter to us seeking permission for holding a Peace Conference in Srinagar on October 10.
Keeping the sentiments of Muslims in view, we have decided not to allow this Conference in Srinagar, he said. The matter is very sensitive and we have already taken a final decision in this regard and have informed the organizers that they will not be permitted to allow any kind of conference in Srinagar.
