ANANTNAG: To get first hand appraisal of public issues and grievances a Public Darbar was held at Shangas, Chittergul and Duenthoo in Anantnag District
The Public Darbar was represented by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Chief Education Officer (CEO), XENs of R&B, PDD, PMGSY, PHE, I&FC and officers of various departments besides concerned Tehsildars, BDOs and officers of CAPD department.
The Darbar was attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, members of civil society, media fraternity and representatives of Auqaaf Committees of the area.
The Deputy Commissioner gave on the spot directions to concerned officers to redress the pending issues speedily so that people do not face any problem during coming winter. Matters pertaining to land compensation, electricity dues and timber availability were also resolved on spot.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of CAPD to make sure that ration is distributed on time every month and new ration cards are provided to families based on the census data 2011.
The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag suspended 23 employees of Municipal Committee Mattan after they were found to be unauthorisedly absent during a surprise check.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag has been directed to charge sheet the suspended officials and furnish the same to the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
