Gulmarg- In a gesture of gratitude, prominent businessman and tourism promoter, Mushtaq Chaya, organized an appreciation event to recognize the efforts of the travel industry in promoting Kashmir.
Speaking at the event, Chaya praised the relentless work of those involved in the region’s tourism sector, emphasizing the importance of their contributions.
“This evening was about appreciation and encouragement. We organized this event to recognize the hard work of the travel trade in promoting Kashmir and Gulmarg,” Chaya stated, highlighting the critical role that the travel trade plays in boosting Kashmir’s tourism.
Chaya also underscored the flourishing state of tourism in Kashmir, noting that the region has become one of the top tourist destinations in India. He expressed optimism about the future, mentioning the need for more development in the area.
“Right now, tourism in Kashmir is flourishing, and we are focused on enhancing it further by building more hotels and creating a world-class wellness resort,” he added, pointing to the need for additional facilities to accommodate the growing number of visitors.
He mentioned the shortage of hotel rooms in Gulmarg, stressing that the area cannot currently handle the pressure of increased tourism.
Chaya further revealed plans to develop wellness centers and resorts similar to those in Bangalore.
He explained that these facilities would cater to international tourists and promote Kashmir as a wellness destination. (KNS)
