Srinagar – Under Balyaar water supply scheme, state government released Rs. 9.30 crore to provide pure drinking water to more than 20,000 people living in Marhama and Balyaar villages.
Similarly, Rs. 4.90 crore were released for Waghama Karewa water supply scheme and Rs.2 crore for Serhama Water Supply Scheme.
MLC, Dr S. Bashir Ahmed Veeri said that the execution of work will start shortly after tenders are floated and allotted.
Dr. Veeri further appealed Government to provide drinking water to areas of Sheetipora Shelgam and Karewa Bijbehara as well, for which work may also be taken up shortly. He also demanded 10 MVA transformer for Khirm grid station which is a long pending demand of the area. He also thanked Chief Minister for macadamizing more than 100 kms of roads in Anantnag district alone.
