Srinagar: A 50 years old man set himself ablaze in Shopian and a lady attempted to commit suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Anantnag.
A 50 years old man Bashir Ahmad Reshi son of Ghulam Ahmad Reshi resident of Zainapora, Shopian set himself ablaze. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital; Srinagar for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead. Shopian police has registered a case FIR number 70/15 under section 309 RPC in this regard. After completing medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In an attempt to end her life, a lady (name with held) resident of Manzigam in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ashmuqam consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment wherefrom she was referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. Anantnag police has registered a case in this regard.
