Research Needed: Experts
Srinagar – Coinciding with the 574th annual Urs of revered Sufi saint, Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA), the Sahitya Academy, New Delhi in coordination with the Kashmir Markazi Adab-w-Saqafat, Chrar-i-sharief and J&K Information department, organized a mega literary function at Chrar-i-sharief to highlight Hazrat, Sheikhs (RA) contribution in Socio-religious transformation of Jammu and Kashmir.
The hectic literary activities included Meet the writer programme by Sahitya Academy, in which eminent literary personality of the State, a great Novelist, critic, author and poet, . Gh. Nabi Gowhar was honoured. . Gowhar has authored about 26 literary books, all of which have bagged National or State awards. . Gowhar in free and fair literary atmosphere, during question answer session shared his experiences, rights from 1930 upto date, with the audience in the fields of literature, Judiciary and Politics.
Prominent literary figurers, Director, Centre for Research on Sheikh-ul-Alam studies, Prof. Bashar Bashir, Prof. Shad Ramzan, Prof. Naseem Shafai, Executive Member, Sahitya Academy. Dr.Ab. Aziz Hajini, Ranjour Tilgami, G.N. Adfar, Abu Naeem, Ali Ahsan, Inayat Gul, Satish Vimal read thought provoking papers on different aspects of the life of Hazrat Sheikh-ul-alam (RA). While hailing the contribution of Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) to the Kashmir literature, Art and Culture, urged the need for conducting research based studies to reveal different aspects of the life and teachings of this multifaceted and multi-dimensional sufi saint, also known as sheikh-ul-alam with logic and reason.
On this occasion, three books including Yene Sapdakh Faramosh of Yasin Madhosh, Ishiq Rahim of Late, . Abdullah Wani and Naat-i-Shafi-ul-Muznabin (PBU) by Sofi Poet, Faqir Nisar Ahmad Dildar were also released. Commentaries/analysis on these books were read by Bashir Chirag, Ali Ahsan and inayat Gul respectively.
Faqir Nissar Ahmad Dildar and Dr. Darakh Shan Indrabi were awarded with Khilat-i-Noor, an honour, by Kashmir Markaz-i-Adab-w-Saqafat Chrar-i-Sharief alongwith citations.
Later, a Mehfil-i-Musharia was also conducted in which poets recited their latest poems
Prof. Bashar Bashir informed the audianc that Centre for Research on Sheikh-ul-alam studies has prepared Urdu versions of Reshi Namas of Baba Khalil, Baba Kamal and Baba Naseeb-ud-Din Gazi so that researchers in other languages could also work on the poetry and life of Hazrat Sheikh (RA), which has a Universal value transcending the boundaries of time and space. He said authentic and research based poetry collection of Hazrat Sheikh (RA) is expected to be published next year
