Emphasizes For Close Coordination
Srinagar – Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Mr. Javed Ahmad Dar has asked the authorities of health and mechanical engineering departments to ensure regular and timely operation of Central Heating Systems (CHS) installed in the health institutions of the State so that patients and their attendants do not face any inconvenience during the winter. He said the proposal for extension of this facility to nine other health institutions would be cleared shortly.
The Minister was reviewing the measures being taken for ensuring regular and uninterrupted operation of CHS in the hospitals during coming winter months.
Secretary Health and Medical Education, Director Health Service Kashmir and Jammu besides senior engineers of Mechanical Engineering Department were present on the occasion.
Emphasizing for close coordination, the Minister asked the officers to take all aspects in account while formulating detail project reports required for the purpose. He said the Government intends to extend this facility to other heath institutions of the State and asked officers to project the future demands for the purpose accordingly.
The Minister said due to technological expansion in the field of energy and decrease in non-renewable sources we have to think over alternate source of energy and asked the officers to explore the possibility of utilization of solar energy in this field.
Installation of fire-fighting equipment and disposal of common bio-waste also come up for the discussion. The Minister asked officers of Directors of health services Kashmir and Jammu departments to liaise with concerned Deputy Commissioners and get the land identified for setting up common bio medical waste systems in the State.
