Srinagar– Biscoe School is receiving plaudits in Kashmir Valley’s footballing landscape after the school’s football team won all major junior level competitions organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
Biscoe clinched the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 district level football tournaments to cap off an exciting summer for the school.
Coached by Abid Yaqoob (an AIFF National Referee), Biscoe School won the Under-14 Inter-School Football Tournament beating Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar 4-1. Dias and Mukees proved to be the standout players for the team, scoring two goals each.
In the Under-17 Inter-School Football Tournament, Biscoe School defeated BHSS Jawahar Nagar 9-0. Aazim Parvaiz was named player of the match for his excellent performance.
The Under-19 Inter-School Football Tournament, Biscoe beat BHSS Jawahar Nagar 3-0 in the semifinal. In the final, Biscoe School faced off against SP School Srinagar.
The tightly contested game ended 0-0 in regular time, but Biscoe School beat SP School 4-2 in the penalty shootout.
The Jammu and Kashmir Football Association hailed Biscoe School for its youth teams’ success. “Biscoe School’s triumphs in all age categories of the Youth Service and Sports competitions highlight their strong football program and dedication to the sport,” the JKFA said.
“These victories not only demonstrate the players’ talent and hard work but also reflect the excellent coaching and support system at Biscoe School.
“JKFA congratulates Biscoe School for their outstanding performance and comprehensive dominance across these age groups!” it added.
