Ashraf Ganie, embraced this celebration as a momentous opportunity to embark on a new era of medical excellence, innovation, and patient-centric care. Prof. Ganie, in his inspiring address, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and expressed gratitude for their presence. He articulated his vision is rooted in enhancing patient care, advancing research frontiers, and elevating academic standards.”Doctor’s Day,” Prof. Ganie remarked, “serves as a poignant reminder to honor the selfless dedication and immense contributions of medical professionals.” He underscored SKIMS’ global impact in medical research and education, highlighting the institution’s role in advancing healthcare worldwide. He remarked. “At SKIMS, we strive not only to heal bodies but also to touch hearts with empathy and kindness.” Prof. Ganie pledged to prioritize a robust work-life balance at SKIMS, promising enhanced recreational facilities for the staff. He announced the establishment of a Special Award to commend exemplary service among SKIMS’ medical professionals, ensuring their tireless efforts receive due recognition.Chief Guest Professor Habibullah Zargar, former Principal of GMC Srinagar, commended the profound contributions of medical professionals. Guest of Honor Professor Nilofar Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kashmir, reiterated her commitment to supporting SKIMS in its endeavors. Former Directors including Prof. M.S Khroo, Prof. O J Shah were also present on the occasion and hailed the role of SKIMS in particular and medical professionals in general in the arena of medical sciences across the world.
