SRINAGAR: Vigilance has registered a case against a revenue official for allegedly duping scores of flood victims from the Central Kashmirs Budgam district.
Reports said that the flood hit victims from Soibugh area of Central Kashmirs Budgam district in a complaint to Vigilance Organization alleged that Patwari Soibugh after preparing a list of 78 flood hit victims forwarded the list of only 23 persons. The flood hit victims who found their names missing in fully-damaged category said the Patwari in question concealed the original record of 55 flood hit victims apparently to benefit himself. .
Confirming that they have received a complaint against the Patwari, an official from Vigilance Organization Kashmir said that investigation is going on and they have already seized the official documents pertaining to Patwari office.
